Swami Guruparananda is a traditional teacher of Vedanta in the lineage of Swami Paramarthananda, one of the foremost exponents of Advaita Vedanta in our time. For decades, he has dedicated his life to making the Vedantic scriptures accessible — teaching the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita and the works of Adi Shankaracharya to students and seekers with clarity, patience and depth.
His ashram, Poornalayam, near Vedanthangal in Tamil Nadu, is a place of quiet learning and contemplative living. Talks recorded at Poornalayam are made freely available to students worldwide — a quiet act of service that reaches far beyond his immediate community.
Swami Guruparananda represents a generation of teachers who chose depth over fame — whose contribution to the continuity of living Vedanta is immeasurable, and whose needs are often invisible to the world they have served.
🙉 Add Your Tribute
Venerating is a way of saying — I have received from this person, and I wish that to be known.

When you venerate a guru or elder through the Aandaal Project's Guru Support Network, you are joining a community of students, well-wishers and heritage keepers who wish to make the Aandaal Project's benefits — care, connection and cultural continuity — available to those who have given their lives to preserving what is sacred.

This is not charity. It is recognition.
